DENVER (KDVR) — Temperatures were again mild in Denver weather, with Thursday temperatures reaching the 60s — about 20 degrees above normal in the city. That was the "warm before the storm." The Pinpoint Weather team is tracking a storm system that will bring snow, wind and chilly temperatures across the state on Friday. According to Pinpoint Weather, Colorado’s Most Accurate Forecast, accumulating snow is possible, but totals will likely change in the next 24 hours. DENVER (KDVR) -- The Denver Zoo Lights are expected to attract some 300,000 visitors this year, over ten times as many as when the the celebration first began 32 years ago.It all started in 1991 with a small group of volunteers including Teri Hanzon and Mike Lestition. According to a release from the Denver Zoo, Hanzon and Lestition brought the idea of a holiday light display to the marketing director. Christmas lights tradition got its start in Denver, legend has it They called it Wild Lights, and once approved they organized and operated the entire event for the first few years. In the first year, Wild Lights used about 30,000 lights and attracted some 27,000 visitors, according to the release. A Broward County resident is in legal jeopardy after being charged with criminal mischief with prejudice for allegedly slashing an Israeli sign outside Bagel Time Cafe. On Thursday, 24-year-old Nour Abaido from Coral Springs, faced questioning in Miami-Dade County.Abaido, who had previously posted bond, received a stern warning during the proceedings. “You already posted a bond, just stay away from the Bagel Time Cafe,” said Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Mindy S. Glazer.The charges stem from an incident on October 28th around 1:30 a.m. at the Bagel Time Cafe on Alton Road and West 41st Street in Miami Beach. A Miami-Dade County caretaker was arrested on charges of grand theft and organized scheme to defraud, officials said.Zoraida Mollinea allegedly exploited the 89-year-old woman she was caring for, gaining access to her accounts and using the cash for personal gain. “She obtained a power of attorney, and then she was able to have access to her bank accounts.
